IWF2014 Conference on Islam in Nigeria (COIN 2014)
Islam predates Nigeria having been firmly established in several parts of its constituent territories before the amalgamation of the Northeren and Southern Protectorates, culmination in the formation of Nigeria as a country in 1914, 2014 is thus the centunary year of Nigeria's formation and this has been celebrated with pomp and pageantry by the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Islamic Welfare Foundation as a think tank for the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria is organizing her 2nd International Conference on Islam in Nigeria (COIN) to propel a sober and reflective centenary celebration focusing on the contributions of Islam and Muslims to the evolution of Nigeria in the last century.
